Ok so lets say I have a genie and he is going to grant me the wish of my dream house! Here is what I would want it to somewhat look like. (To give credit, Irene did do this post first!)
It's my dream house so it's in California with a view of the beach. Not actually on the beach like this house, I learned in geology that my dream house would probably fall into the ocean and no one wants that.
Yes, that is The OC house but I really do love houses like that. A pool that overlooked the ocean, yes please. Plus I would love for the back of my house to be all windows to get the great view of the ocean.
So for my living room it would be rather simplistic. I really like both of these. Just something that looks comfortable and inviting. Something lived in.
And I have always wanted a brown leather chair, maybe it is my love for the chair Aiden made Carrie in Sex and the City. My living room won't be complete unless I have a leather chair in there.
The kitchen I just want it to be huge. With my current tiny kitchen, I have realized how important counter space truly is. I love white cabinets and then a darker countertop either black or grey granite.
I loved both of those as dining rooms. My house will be big enough so I can have both! Again, just an inviting space. With a lot of natural light. Again, a lack of windows in my apartment has made me realize I want a lot of natural light coming into my house.
I think this looks like such a great office space. Open and organized. I love how white furniture looks in rooms, I think it keeps it light and cheery. I feel I would actually be productive in a space like that.
I love this bathroom shot! It's so simple and feminine. For my master bathroom I want it to feel like a spa bathroom. I've always wanted a vanity in the bathroom to do my makeup at where natural light comes in. Couldn't find any pictures of that though.
Ok so there's no bedroom shot. I couldn't find one that I was like "Yes! That's what I want!" Basically, all I really want is a big, white, fluffy bed in a big room that has a big oversized chair in the corner. A plasma tv would be nice too. I just want the most comfortable bed in the world, really that's it.
Then, like Irene, I would want fresh flowers all over the place to add a punch of color and life into the rooms. Orchids and calla lilies are my favorite. I'd also want a lot of black and white photography all over the walls, including pictures that I've taken myself.
And! No dream house of mine would be complete with a cute little german sheperd puppy!
Haha, man this post has made me really want to move out of where I live now. One day.... in a long while...

damn. i loved each and every single room. i think the only thing we disagree on is the LOCATION of the HOUSE. I just prefer mountain-y scenery. But you grew up around beaches and I grew up by mountains. It makes sense. The kitchen is BEAUTIFUL. I love that so much light comes through. I def miss that in my room!
And I actually like small spaces but the pictures you have....man. All that white furniture just brighten everything. WELL WELL DONE. I love that ppl that know us can look at both our sets of pictures and say which is which. I think...
